Alternative Gifts Made Easy

Creepmas is right around the corner, and buying the perfect gift isn't always easy. Luckily for you, this guide will take some of the guesswork out of your holiday purchases, or at least give you a good place to start!

Creepmas Spirit

If you are buying for someone that loves Christmas decor and all things spooky, give them a gift that they'll treasure every holiday season.

For someone that can't wait to put their tree up each year, they'll love a creepy, fun ornament. Currently, I stock both resin and traditional style blown glass ornaments, with multiple styles to choose from.

For those donning their "slay" apparel, try a black Santa Claws hat (with red or purple accents). If they are more of a graphic shirt kind of person, opt for a soft tee, comfortable longsleeve, or cozy sweatshirt from the "Creepmas" collection.

Stocking Stuffers

Stocking stuffers may be smaller items, but they should still make a big impact.

If you are buying for someone that loves to smell good, perfume oils are a great addition. These are especially nice for those that prefer scents that are lasting but stick closer to the skin than alcohol-based fragrances tend to do. Currently, I have over 10 oils to choose from in a variety of scent profiles. While scent is very personal, some suggestions to start with are Cemetery, Oddities, The Wolf, and the Monster.

Maybe they aren't really a perfume person, and prefer scented bath and body products? From bath bombs to body scrubs, body oils to bar soaps, I stock quite a few items that are functional and smell amazing! For an extra festive touch, I'd recommend something from the Snowflake Obsidian, Mint & Moonstone, or Evergreen scent lines, as these are part of the holiday/ winter release. That being said, you also can't go wrong with a product from the two current bestselling lines, Dragon's Blood and Graveyard.

For the beauty enthusiast, you'll find lipsticks in a variety of shades. Spellbond and CarnEvil are beautiful, vampy reds. The Woods at Night and Dark Energy are other-wordly and daring. The Til Death Collection, with shades Everlasting, Mi Amor, and Til Death, are beautifully muted for softer looks that still make a statement. Of course, no collection would be complete without a not-so-basic black, and the shade Ritual fills this void perfectly (or try Tombstone for a greyscale twist!).

Gifts They'll Cherish

Putting something under the tree for your favorite weirdos? Ensure your gift screams "I saw this and thought of you", and your giftees will likely scream with glee, too!

Fragrance is a very popular gift during the holidays, and those with unique tastes may crave something more diverse than designer options. While the perfume oils previously mentioned make lovely stocking stuffers, they also make wonderful gifts and are packaged with gifting in mind. For more projection than oils offer, I also carry alcohol-based options with many different scent profiles ranging from dark florals to seductive woodsy blends (and everything in between!) Again, scent is subjective, but for a few suggestions, I'd recommend Slow Explosions, O Unknown, Tainted Love, and Black Widow.

A gift guide wouldn't be complete without jewelry, and this is no exception! A locket like the Augurium or Darken Heart are stunning and thoughtful, while The Victorian Hand and Flying Hourglass necklaces add a bit of Victorian-era flair. You can even showcase your love and devotion with either the Anatomical Heart or Darkling Heart Friendship necklaces.

For The Person that Is Super Hard to Buy For

I get it, sometimes people are difficult to buy for, even when you love them to death. Not to worry, as I have a few recommendations for them, too!

We've already covered perfume as a gift and stocking stuffer, and you likely noticed I mentioned scent preference is personal and subjective. If you aren't sure what someone is looking for or if they are very particular about their fragrance preferences, I suggest a fragrance sample set. These are a great way to allow them to indulge in multiple scents before committing to a full-size bottle. They are also perfect for those that like multiple types of fragrance, but don't like to stick to one scent for too long. Sample sets are available in both oil- and alcohol-based fragrances, with single samples available for some scents, as well.

If you've looked through this guide and the store, and still are unsure what the perfect gift would be, why not purchase a digital gift card? They come in increments of $25, can be delivered directly to your giftee's email address, and allows them to purchase exactly what they want. No stress, wrapping, or second-guessing!
